Dogear

A bookmark library. Type rl in the address bar to save a page, then read it later in a clean reader.

TanStack Start · React · Postgres · Drizzle · Better Auth

Typing rl in the browser’s address bar saves the current page, and any words after it become tags: rl rust async saves the page tagged rust and async. The browser goes straight back to the page you were on.

The server fetches the page itself and keeps its title, site icon, cover image and a cleaned-up copy of the article, stored once and sanitized. Everything saved and not yet read stays dog-eared until you mark it read. The library shows cards or a dense list, with views by tag and a search across titles, sites, descriptions and tags. Opening an item doesn’t mark it read, so you can check whether something is worth reading without losing track of it.

Why it’s here

It’s a full product on the stack I use for client first versions: accounts with invites, a Postgres schema with committed migrations, images stored in object storage, transactional email, tests on the server functions, and a one-file deploy config. It’s live; the source is private.

Tell me what you're building.

A short form, about a minute. I read every one myself and reply by email, usually within two business days.
