juke

A phone-first remote for Navidrome's jukebox mode. The music plays on the server's speakers.

TypeScript · Hono · Server-sent events

Navidrome’s web UI has no jukebox controls, and the Subsonic apps that do are Android-only. juke is a small proxy plus a web app that any browser on the network can open and add to its home screen.

The browser never talks to Navidrome directly. The proxy holds the credentials, polls the jukebox about once a second while any tab is open, and pushes the state to every tab over server-sent events, so a phone and a laptop always agree on what’s playing.

Why it’s here

It solves a real gap with a small amount of software, and its details are deliberate: tapping a song opens its actions instead of playing it, because “play” would replace the whole queue.
